After graduation in May of 1957, Karen Dedrickson, Evie Spence, Joan Olson and I got an apartment in St. Paul and began our working careers. I married Don Johnson (Class of '55) in September of 1960. We had three children, Steven, Karla and Scott. We lived in our home in Oakdale, MN for 40 years and moved into a townhome in Oakdale in January of 2003. Don had Multiple Sclerosis and passed away in December of 2003. I retired from 3M in May of 1996. Don and I spent many winters in Destin, FL, and now I have been going to Mesa, AZ, with my friend Sharon from Madison, WI. I have 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. My grandson, Aaron and his family live in Anchorage, AK so don't get to see the great grandchildren but once a year. My grandchildren are 31, 30, 29, 20, 19, 16 & 16. The great grandchildren are 10, 5 and newborn. I keep busy by golfing twice a week, playing cards and traveling. The only state that I have not been in is Hawaii and hope to get there sometime in the near future. |
